OCI SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES 4TH CONSECUTIVE SAS 70 AUDIT
Denver, Colorado – After undergoing an in-depth audit of control objectives and activities, which include controls over information technology and other related processes, OCI, a Denver-based data integration and software services company, announced today its successful completion of the SAS 70 Type II Audit for the fourth consecutive year. SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard that evaluates data security and internal processes.
“OCI is committed to protecting the customer’s data. Security reviews and audits are conducted periodically by internal staff and third parties to assess and validate the security measures that help us protect the customer’s information. The criteria for the reviews and audits are based on industry standards, guidelines, laws and regulations. SAS 70 is one of many audits that we engage with third parties to perform,” said Richard Gancze, Director of Information Technology at OCI.
The audit is conducted by an independent, third party and involves assessing and testing information technology general controls related to data processing, transmission and application hosting processes at OCI. The third party’s examination included procedures and tests to obtain reasonable assurance that the controls were suitably designed and effective during a six month period.
